A smart bit of business on Monday afternoon saw Larne boss Davy McAlinden sign former team-mate John Connolly.
Connolly is unquestionably the biggest name to come to Inver Park for some time, the recruitment of the former Cliftonville and Glenavon goalkeeper a considerable coup for the ambitious Larne manager.
“I am certainly very pleased to get John to come to Inver Park. He’s very experienced and a tried and trusted number one who was with Glenavon last season” said McAlinden, who played with Connolly for over three seasons at Solitude.
