‘Super Council’ members swop Committee roles
Mid & East Antrim Councillors have given the go ahead for SDLP Councillor Declan O’Loan to exchange his place on the Super Council’s Community Planning Committee with UKIP Councillor Noel Jordan’s place on its Planning Committee.
Cllr O’Loan was lauded by various members at last Monday night’s August monthly meeting, including Chair Billy Ashe, for offering to swop after Cllr Jordan highlighted a conflict of interest regarding the Planning Committee role.
Speaking afterwards to The Times, Cllr O’Loan said he was now looking forward to being involved in the writing of the new Area Plan.
