Portrush Sea Cadets want you!
Sea Cadets offers an inspirational environment for young people aged 10 – 18 to challenge themselves and personally develop though nautical adventure based on the customs and traditions of the Royal Navy.
This helps young people to build a sense of identity, positively impacting their life chances, from improved post-16 destinations in employment and training
to see an increased participation in communities.

Hide AdDavid Morrison, Chair of Portrush Sea Cadets, said: “We need the help of local people who are happy to roll up their sleeves, get involved and potentially make a huge positive difference to the lives of lots of young people from our region. We have lots of uniformed and non-uniformed roles ranging from working directly with the cadets to behind the scenes management.
“You don’t need experience to join us as full training is provided.
“Everyone has a part to play to ensure young people get the best possible head start in life.”
Portrush Sea Cadet volunteer Hamish Grant: “I’ve been volunteering for a few years and have gained a lot of nationally recognised qualifications.

“Working full time and having family means I am busy, but volunteering in this way with my free time is so rewarding.”
Portrush Sea Cadets have vacancies for adult volunteers to join the team and help give young people ahead start in life.

If you want to make new friends, learn new skills and experience exhilarating challenges the Sea Cadets is the place for you. You’ll experience adventure both on land and at sea.

Hide AdWe’ll teach you everything from how to hoist the sail of a yacht to navigating waves in a powered craft.
You’ll also have the opportunity to add to your CV with valuable first aid training and through gaining leadership skills. You’ll have the opportunity to take on challenging nautical training, working as a team to safely navigate Britain’s coastline.
