Mayoral praise for winners of Queen’s Award
Councillor Peter Johnston visited Queen’s Award winners Coaching4Christ in Ahoghill this week when he also visited fellow winners of the Award - The Mae Murray Foundation in Larne.
Both were acknowledged with the prestigious award, which is the highest accolade a voluntary group can receive in the UK.

Hide AdThe two groups are among 230 charities, social enterprises and voluntary groups to receive the prestigious award this year.
The Mayor said: “I am delighted to congratulate both groups on being awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.
“This award is a great tribute to the voluntary work of the Mae Murray Foundation and Coaching4Christ members.
“It is a wonderful acknowledgement of the hard work and dedication the volunteers have put in to the community.”

Hide AdStephen Crawford, Founder of Coaching4Christ, said: “On behalf of Coaching4Christ we are privileged and honoured to receive the QAVS.
“I wish to acknowledge our volunteers for their commitment and faithfulness to the Ministry - some of whom have volunteered for over 14 years.
“This is a tremendous achievement and we delighted to receive the Award on their behalf.”
