East Antrim Guides enjoy Titanic lesson in emigration

Guides from First Islandmagee and First Kilbride, Ballyclare, units were given the real 'Titanic Experience' at Titanic Belfast where they explored the relationship between the famous ship and the story of early 20th century emigration; what it was like to be a migrant at that time and the positive similarities between migrants then and now. The girls joined 77 Girlguiding Ulster members, all aged 10 to 14, and enjoyed a special girl-only workshop accompanied by Girlguiding Ulster Programmes and Events Coordinator Lee Kennedy.
