New single from Larne songbird

Daisie Conway, a QUB Law student from Larne, is 19 and has just released her debut single ‘Tell Me I’m Not Dreaming’, a beautiful Katherine Jenkins cover.

She also performed in her first concert, the Celtic Songbirds, with a line-up of some of the top soprano singers from Ireland and Scotland.

Concert organiser, Robert Scullen, from Perth in Australia, said: “Daisie has the voice of an angel and rare talent in bucketloads.

“In concert Daisie was breathtaking, receiving compliment after compliment from viewers around the world. She showed maturity and control well beyond her age and her stage presence was captivating.

“Her Etta James cover of ‘At Last’ was reported by several people to be better than the original.”

Like many teenagers, Daisie’s exams were cancelled in March due to the pandemic.

Trained as a classical soprano singer and in musical theatre, Daisie relied on her music to relieve boredom and stress.

She posted her first solo singing video on Facebook in May, to do something positive to cheer people up, and the video went viral, with over 11,000 views.

She is now set to perform in a further international songbird concert in February and will be on the line-up at the Friends Goodwill Festival in May, alongside Hothouse Flowers and Eddi Reader.

Daisie is also a member of Belfast Operatic Society and Queen’s University Choral and Singing Society. Not only is she an accomplished singer, she also plays the violin.
