Wilsonutters lastrally cry for crews

The Donegal Motor Club recently announced the running of the 2015 An Grianán Hotel Harvest Stages rally, based in Burt, Co. Donegal.

The Clerk of the Course, Leonard Wilson, provided some more details of the event which is a round of Round 6 of the 2015 Sligo Pallets Border Championship, and DMC’s own Donegal Commercials Club Championship.

Mr Wilson said, “With the event planned for Saturday, October 10 let me remind rally crews to ensure their entry was in this week as the closing date was on Friday, September 25, 2015.

“The Donegal Motor Club has a very good value for money event with an entry fee of 495 euros for main competitors.

“This entry fee includes Personal Accident Insurance and IRDS Insurance at standard rate. For the Junior classes, class 16, and the Historic classes we will be charging a reduced Entry Fee of 300 euros.

“The overall rally will take place over 9 special stages, with the Junior and Historic classes each competing over just 6 of those 9 stages, during the day.”

Mr Wilson continued, “The main committee for the event have been working hard to get all the final preparations in place. I am especially indebted to the residents along the route for their co-operation and assistance with planning of this Harvest Rally.

“The Donegal Motor Club will be meeting in the An Grianán Hotel on Monday 5th October, where final details of the Harvest Rally will be discussed.”
