Willis holds the upper hand at Carrickblacker

He posted 23.5 points in the Stableford qualifying appearance followed by 22.5 points apiece from Michael Collett and Ryan McKee.

Brian Galbraith proved the pick of section B on 23.5 points over 22 points by both Paul Hanna and Keith Gawley.

In section C, Mark Sinnamon edged past Ken Lindsay and Francie McKee thanks to the countback system.

Dessie McCann was first in section D ahead of Ronnie Withers’ 20.5 tally and 20 from Bryan Friar.

In the Monday Seniors, Dennis McNally finished first over 10 holes on 18 points.

Ronnie Weir was runner-up with 18 points and Ronnie Withers completed the top three on 16.5.

Paul Stevenson was recently recognised at the TGI Golf Partner of the Year awards with a spot on the final four-strong list of nominees.
