Quinn looking for a striker

GLENAVON boss Marty Quinn is stepping up his attempts to get another striker on board at Mourneview Park.

With Gary Liggett set to join Loughgall on loan, the boss had moved quickly to bolster his attack and is currently trying to convince two unnamed front men to join the ranks at Mourneview Park in the January transfer window.

“I spoke to a couple of players over the weekend, both of whom play up front,” confirmed the boss.

“It’s just a matter of running a few things past the lads, who will remain nameless. I’m just putting my ideas and ambitions across to them and trying to sell the club to them.

“It’s all about whether they want to come to the club and whether I can agree terms with them. I want to make sure that they’re right for me and right for the club and that they want to play for Glenavon for the right reasons.”
