Ballyclare Golf Club ‘A’ secured their first-ever Larne and District Snooker League title this week.
Since Christmas, the team have overturned a 10-point deficit to surpass St Comgall’s, hitting a good run of form and being crowned worthy champions.
The race is still on for the runners-up spot but with a three-point advantage it looks like Latharna will be the ones to finish second.
Ballyclare ‘A’ defeated Q-Club B 4-1, while St Comgall’s lost 4-1 against Carrick ‘A’ with Ricky Bradley on form with a 55 break.
Latharna ran out 3-2 winners over Greenbank ‘A’. Q-Club ‘A’ also won 3-2 and Ballyclare ‘B’ were on form with a 4-1 success.
St John’s got the better of The Point 3-2, with Ballylumford winning on the same scoreline against Greenbank ‘B’.
