Larne 1st XV remain unbeaten in Qualifying Three after Saturday’s thumping 43-0 victory over Newry.
It was only a matter of minutes before they crossed the whitewash for the first time as James McCluggage boshed his way through the middle of the ruck.
A second try arrived soon after as Gibson marked his return from injury with a score which Phil Andrews duly converted.
Hunter exploited a gap to land Larne’s third try of the afternoon and an early second-half penalty from Andrews extended their lead further.
Hunter turned provider as Ryan Garrett rounded the winger for an unconverted score in the corner before Andrews found himself scoring a quick brace.
Elsewhere, Larne II lost 29-22 to Bangor, while the Thirds lost 22-10 to Strabane in the quarter-final of the Butler Shield.
