McCarthy hat-trick helps Thatch

Something had to give in week five of the Larne Pool League as Thatch and Ibrox - both with 100 per cent records - went head-to-head.

It was looking good for Ibrox who forged 4-0 up but a Ronan McCarthy hat-trick brought Thatch right back into it.

With each side trading frames until the play-off, a decider was needed.
