Handball stars at Croke Park final

CLANN Eireann and Armagh stars, Niamh Coleman and Conall McCavitt were among the 28 strong Official Irish Handball team which was introduced to the 82,269 crowd at Croke Park during the All-Ireland final between Donegal and Mayo.

While Jim McGuinness made his successful inspirational speech to his charges at half-time in the dressing room at Headquarters, the Irish Handball Team were presented to the fans.

Niamh secured the 15&U Big Ball spot on the team after her impressive victory in the Irish One Wall Nationals in early July and Conall booked his 17&U spot at the same event, winning his National title with relative ease.

Official team training has benefited both players and along with their own personal training, they are both very big favourites to become World Champions in just a few weeks time. Niamh has also been busy on the pitch and captained her club to an U-14 County title, whilst Conall collected the St. Pat’s, Cavan One Wall title mid-September.
