Campbell to represent Foyle

THE Darren Clarke Perpetual Trophy Qualifier played at Foyle on Saturday was decided after a break of tie with Martin Campbell (11) emerging the winner virtue of his superior back 9 with Gary Etherson (12) finishing runner up both players finishing on 39 points. Martin will represent the club in the final at Dungannon Golf Club later in the Year.

The Confined Golf Classic Teams of 4 any Combination (Re-Entry Permitted) Hidden Hole Format will run on the following days: Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. On Friday an Open Stableford competition is down for decision.

While Foyle Golf Club President Mr Rob Gallagher invites all Club Members to play for his Presidents Prize on Saturday, June 9 and everyone playing are reminded to enter their names on the sheet provided in the shop on or before Monday, June 4, when the draw for playing partners will take place.

Meanwhile the Jefferson Builders sponsored Open Stableford played at Foyle last Wednesday attracted a very good entry with the competitors enjoying a fine day.

Seven handicapper Richard McRory contiued his fine form by producing a one over par round for his winning score of 42 points, with Roy Martin (20) finishing in second with a fine score of 41 points, with Paul Turner taking third place with 40 points.

The gross winner was Damien McKenna who scored 35 points and Warren MacFarlan (22) with 20 points won the back nine. The CSS was 35 points.
