Sky Blues beat Carniny to reach NIBFA Cup final
One of the most eagerly-awaited youth football matches in Ballymena in recent years certainly didn’t disappoint with the Sky Blues coming from two goals down at half-time to storm to victory in the second half.
Carniny had looked to be in a strong position after Lee Lynn scored twice in the first period.

Hide AdBut Ross McCausland, Trai Hume and Sean McAllister scored after the break for the Sky Blues, who now become the first team from the borough of Ballymena to reach the finals of the NIBFA Cup, in any age group, since the format was introduced a number of years ago.
And as an added boost, the finals in all age groups will take place at Ballymena Showgrounds on May Day Monday, May 6, when a big local support will be guaranteed.
Ballymena will take on either Glentoran or Ridgeway Rovers who play their semi-final this Wednesday night.
