Hide AdThe Premiership kick-off remains booked in on October 17 with the final round of fixtures set for May 22.
“The return of supporters to Premiership stadiums remains a priority for the NI Football League and member clubs with discussions ongoing between key stakeholders including, government departments, local authorities and other sporting bodies,” confirmed NIFL in a statement.
A release date for the Bluefin Sport Championship and Bluefin Sport Premier Intermediate League fixtures has been forced on hold.
The delay for the second and third divisions of domestic football is in relation to the ongoing appeal against relegation from last season’s Championship by PSNI.
