In the second half Carnmoney won a penalty which was converted by Ethan Hall to bring the game level.

As the match was approaching full time, it looked as though both teams would be sharing the points, but the home side scored from a corner in the final minute to give them the win.

Although they had lost their first game, the boys from Carnmoney had a number of positives to build on.

Carnmoney went to Dungannon on Saturday (September 5) , to take on the side who had eliminated them from the cup last season.

The game was played on a 3G pitch, and it took the away side a while before they had adjusted to it.

After settling into the game, the boys from Carnmoney went into the break two goals to the good, both coming from Scott Wilson.

The home side stepped it up a gear at the start of the second half, and grabbed a goal back to make the score 2-1.

Carnmoney restored their two goal cushion with a headed goal from Lewis Barr, and it looked as though the boys had done enough to take all three points. However, after some basic mistakes the home side scored twice in quick succession to bring the score level, and the game ended 3-3.

Next up for the boys is a home game against Portadown Youth on Saturday, September 12.
