Larne Tech saw off Abbey Villa 2-0 at Dennis Harvey Park on Saturday, but they could and should have won by more.
Manager Johnny Hastings told the Times: “It could have been five or six. We seem to be a different team at home for some reason.”
The Tech’s opener came on 35 minutes, courtesy of a Dylan Monaghan cross which swirled over the keeper into the top corner.
The Larne boys doubled that lead on the hour when a Villa man turned a Neil Webb free-kick into his own net.
Abbey could have cancelled that one out but for a vintage one-on-one save by Chris Keenan. But from there on in, the Tech should have turned the screw, with Gary Montgomery denied by the upright and Niall McAllister blazing one over from just a few yards out.
