David fought hard in his own division winning a silver medal and thought he may as well try the above heavier class for the experience and surprised everyone by achieving the silver medal against the heavier players who were all three degrees above him.

Gracious Phillips had her first senior event and was pleased to receive the Bronze. Her category was merged with the one above which had two Great Britain Representatives. Despite receiving an injury in her first fight against one of the GBR Represenitives who was 10 years her senior she was determined to carry on and enjoyed the rest of her tournament.

Both sportspeople would like to thank Richard Briggs (Senior Coach) and Phillip Duncan (Club Coach) for the preparation in the run up to the event.
