VIDEO: German tennis player left bemused by Yorkshire reporter's accent

German tennis player Alexander Zverev was left bewildered by a reporter's strong Yorkshire accent during a French Open press conference.

The 21-year-old could only smile awkwardly when he was asked about his hopes for the future after his win against Serbian Damir Dzumhur.

'Where you from, buddy?'

Reporter: 'Do you feel like Rold-Garris could be a turning point for you in terms of having a run in this tournament? If so, what will the difference be?'

Zverev: 'Where you from, buddy?'

Reporter: 'Do you wanna guess? Yorkshire.'

Zverev: 'Jesus. Nice. If they ever make a tournament there I'm definitely coming because of that accent. Love it.'

Zverev then adds: 'I didn't understand a word you were saying'¦ But it's not important.'

After a few more attempts at asking the question the reporter suggested he ask questions at 'all of his Winner's press conferences.'

'I'll definitely make sure if you get to the final you're asking multiple questions' said Zverev.

Zverev will play against Bosnia-Herzegovina's Damir Dzumhur in the third round after his 2-6, 7-5, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 win.
