Lidl is selling an inflatable kayak for less than £40 - here’s how to get your hands on one

Lidl doesn’t just sell groceries and toiletries - customers are able to pick up goodies such as ski wear, garden tools and pet accessories in the supermarket’s middle aisle.

The German discount chain’s latest bargain is an ocean-going kayak, which is perfect for those who like to get out on the water.

What does the kayak feature?

The Crivit 2-Person Inflatable Kayak is big enough to fit two people, and according to Lidl, it’s big and robust enough to be taken out to sea.

The inflatable kayak has detachable front and rear seats and is made from robust, hard-wearing PVC, which is to salt water, oil, ozone and the cold.

The Kayak also features:

  • A lengthways bar base for extra stability and 5-air chamber system with safety valves
  • A double-bladed aluminium paddle with clicklock system, adjustable by 90º – can also be used as a canoe paddle
  • A bow and rear splash guard
  • A removable footrest
  • A repair kit

The kayak is small when packed and includes a waterproof bag, which is great for keeping your valuables safe in.

How big is the kayak?

When inflated, the size of the kayak is: L325 x W76 x H48cm; double-bladed paddle length: 220cm.

It has a rated weight capacity of 160kg (holds 2 adults) and a net weight of 8.2kg.

The kayak also comes with a three-year warranty.

How much does the kayak cost?

The kayak costs £39.99 and is now for sale in-store.

However, it’s only for sale while stock lasts.

Inflatable children’s swimming pool

Lidl has also launched a children’s adventure paddling pool, costing £29.99.

The Playtive Junior Kids’ Adventure Paddling Pool comes in either a jungle or underwater theme, providing plenty of fun for the little ones this summer.

The Lidl website says, “Transform your garden into a playtime oasis with this giant paddling pool featuring a cool water sprayer, a slide and a range of inflatable accessories and games for hours of imaginative play.”

Lidl’s pool features quick-drain valves for easy inflating and deflating, with the jungle version featuring a ring toss game with four inflatable rings, a ball game with six plastic balls, a ball return chute and gorilla bounce-back punching bag.

The underwater version boasts two ball games with six plastic balls, jellyfish bounce-back punching bag and two ring toss games with four inflatable rings.

When inflated, the size of the Playtive Junior Kids’ Adventure Paddling Pool is: W162 x H21 x D297cm.

The age recommendation for the pool is two+ years, and it comes with a three-year warranty.
