Your chance to Get Active in Twin villages

RESIDENTS of the twin villages of Kells & Connor will have lots of opportunities over the next few days to raise their fitness levels thanks to their Community Improvement Association.

For, the association have organised a ‘Get Active Week’ which got underway yesterday, Monday and continues today, Tuesday, May 31, with a mixed Doubles Badminton Tournament in the Community Centre at 7.15pm and primary school football, hosted by Kells and Connor Cougars at the playing fields (7pm).

There will be a Local Primary School Football Tournament on Wednesday at the Playing Fields (7pm) while the Orange Hall will be the venue for street dance and hip hop for P1-5 kids (7-8pm) and P6 and up (8-9pm).

On Thursday there will be a Fancy Dress Parade at the community centre (1pm), Kells and Connor PS sports day, luncheon club in Kells Presbyterian Church, Teenage Football at 7pm in the playing fields, activity night for P4-7 in the community centre and bowls for fun in St Saviour’s Church Hall (8pm).

On Friday a Fancy Dress Parade will start at 10am at the community centre where there will be a tea dance from 2-4pm and there will be a family fun night at the playing fields (7pm).

On the final day, Saturday, the Seven Towers School of Dancing (Kells) will be stepping out at the community centre from 9.30am and in the evening from 8pm there will be a disco in the Buffs Club hosted by the Tiny Tots Community Playgroup.
