Wright employees raise over £1,300 for the Royal Hospital For Sick Children

EMPLOYEES from Galgorm based Wright Group Composites and Metallix divisions, have raised £1312 for The Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children by completing a 12Km sponsored walk around the North Coast.

The walkers, comprising of staff and their families, walked a circuit from Carrick-a-reed to Portbraddan around the coastal path, covering Ballintoy and White Park Bay and back. Both young and old took part in the event, which was luckily blessed with dry weather.

The walk was supported by The Wright Group and organised by Marianne Bamber, Buyer for Wright Composites and Chris Craig, a CNC machinist from Metallix.

Marianne said: “It was a great day and everyone involved did an amazing job in raising this amount of sponsorship. The atmosphere and attitudes of the people taking part made it a very enjoyable day!”

She added; “We are delighted to have raised this money for the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. This hospital provides invaluable services to Northern Ireland and saves a lot of lives. I want to thank everyone who got involved, sponsored us and supported the event.”

The cheque was presented to Sister Jean Gregg from the Belvoir ward of the Royal Children’s Hospital at the company’s factory in Galgorm.
