Trevor braves the coldin aid of Hope House
Trevor Harvey’s fundraiser took place at Jackie’s barber shop, in Ballyclare, on Saturday morning.
Trevor, from Upper Ballyboley Road, said that he had been letting his hair grow specially ahead of getting the chop.

Hide AdAnd he has had a hat specially knitted to keep his head warm afterwards.
Trevor went on to say that he has been inspired by the work of the Whitehead charity which provides respite for cancer sufferers.
He added that he was encouraged to get involved in fundraising following the experiences of his mother who had gruelling chemotherapy treatment at Belfast’s City Hospital.
“I think the work they do at Hope House is fantastic. It is all voluntary .

Hope House Ireland is a charity for adults who have been given a recent cancer diagnosis.
It is situated at a seafront location in Whitehead.
It provides, free of charge, a “unique place to relax and recharge from the stress of hospitals and treatments to help alleviate the stress of patient and carer who travel long distances to the Belfast City Hospital or other centre for chemotherapy, by providing them with a relaxing accommodation.
Joyce Thompson, a volunteer at Hope House said that Trevor was a great supporter of the charity and praised his ongoing support.

A friend offered them the use of a seaside apartment and for Roy and Dawn the short break away from home life and treatment gave the couple a “huge lift”.
