Motorists are being advised to approach the M2 northbound Greencastle junction “with caution” due to an ongoing incident in the region.

Detailing the incident on the Traffic Watch Northern Ireland website this afternoon (Thursday), a Department for Infrastructure (DfI) spokesperson said: “Road Users are advised that there is an ongoing incident on the M2 heading northbound just before junction 2 Greencastle on lane 2.

"The incident is passable with care. Please approach with caution. PSNI officers are in attendance.”

There are no further details at this time.
