The Department’s announcement has been welcomed by East Antrim Ulster Unionist MLA Roy Beggs.

In a statement issued to this newspaper, Mr Beggs said: “I welcome news that £286k is to be invested in the Waterfall Road, Larne through a much needed resurfacing scheme.

“I have been in repeated contact with DfI Roads for years to flag up some substantial potholes on this road which required regular repair, so a resurfacing scheme is warranted and will be welcomed by local residents.”
