Tourism trip shows a Flavour of Tyrone

Organised by Flavour of Tyrone the trip showcased the best of Tyrone’s tourism attractions to representatives from tourist information centres across Northern Ireland and businesses based in the Tyrone county.

This project is part funded by Invest Northern Ireland and the European Regional Development Fund under the European Sustainable Competitiveness Programme for Northern Ireland.

The trip included a visit to Ranfurly House Arts & Visitor Centre & Hill of the O’Neill, Lissan House as well as sampling the high quality food produce on offer as part of the Tyrone Good Food Trail which included Cloughbane Farm Shop.

Welcoming the visit Cllr Frances Burto, Deputy Mayor of Dungannon & South Tyrone said: “The visit organised by Flavour of Tyrone was not only an opportunity to showcase what we have to offer in the region but helped to create partnerships with people who can help spread the word about how great Tyrone really is as a tourist destination.”

Project Director at Flavour of Tyrone, Mary McGee added; “Trips such as this are very important. They help us showcase our wonderful tourism offering as well forging effective partnerships with the right people. We will continue to work with these partners to ensure that Tyrone stays front of mind when engaging with visitors.”
