The taste of sucess for Tyrone restaurants

RESTAURANTS in Tyrone are celebrating after making it through to the final of the Ulster Regional Irish Restaurant Awards.

Grange Lodge, Dungannon won the Best Customer Service in Ireland Award, The Brewers House, Donaghmore took the Faustino Best Gastro Pub in Ireland Award, Deli On The Green, Moygashel collected the Joseph Drouhin Best Casual Dining in Ireland Award, The Kitchen Restaurant at Tullylagan House Hotel was awarded the Pallas Foods Best Hotel Restaurant in Ireland Award and Brian McConagle of The Brewers House won the Tipperary Water Best Chef in Ireland Award.

The restuarants will now go on to represent the county for the national titles at the All-Island at Santa Rita/LIFE Magazine Irish Restaurant Awards 2013 on Monday, June 10 in The Burlington Hotel, Dublin.

Speaking about the upcoming Awards, Chief Executive of the Restaurants Association of Ireland Adrian Cummins said each year the awards cast a spotlight on the brightest and best players on the island’s restaurant scene.

“The Irish Restaurant Awards are the awards everyone wants to win. This year the nominations went online for the first time and we got a spectacular response from the public - nominations doubled and we received 10,000 votes for whole island of Ireland’s favourite restaurants, chefs, gastro pubs, hotel restaurants and customer service experience,” he said.
