Storey congratulates Nesbitt

North Antrim DUP MLA Mervyn Storey has congratulated Mike Nesbitt on being elected the new leader of the Ulster Unionist Party.

Commenting Mr Storey said:

“I would congratulate Mike on being elected the leader of the Ulster Unionist Party.

“I had a good working relationship with him during his time as vice chair of the Education Committee.

“While it is clear from his comments at the weekend we would have difference of opinion, I trust that we will be able to ensure that we continue to work for the benefit of the people of Northern Ireland, putting them first over any party political position.”
