Specs wearer Lyndsey is Miss North Coast

LOCAL girl Lyndsey Dollard, has fought off competition from more than 134 entries at Kelly’s nightclub in Portrush to be crowned Miss North Coast.

Lynsey picked up the title in the Coleraine heat for the Spectacle Wearer of the Year competition with Specsavers.

She will join the other NI locals vying to win a modelling contract with MOT Models.

Contestants were judged on their personality and overall specs appeal by Specsavers Coleraine store director, Judith Ball, and Kelly’s entertainment manager, Gerry McAleese.

Judith said: “We see so many people in the store who look absolutely amazing in their glasses. The Spectacle Wearer of the Year competition gives us the opportunity to shout about the talent right on our doorstep who wear their specs with pride and plenty of style – and who are great role models for younger specs wearers to aspire to.

“We would like to thank Kelly’s for hosting the local heat, it was a great evening with stiff competition. We congratulate Lyndsey again and wish her all the best for the rest of the competition. In our eyes though we see her going all the way to London,”

The NI final is in Belfast on August 30. The celeb-packed grand final, hosted by TV’s Gok Wan, will be held at Battersea Power Station in London in November.
