Snow forecast for higher ground in Mid Ulster

Mid Ulster is bracing itself for strong winds and snow on higher ground on Sunday evening, with further wintry showers during the week.

According to the Met Office, Sunday

Tonight: Wintry showers will continue, with snow accumulating over high ground. A cold night with patchy ice possible on untreated surfaces. Strong west or northwest winds, touching gale near northern coasts. Minimum Temperature 0 °C.

Monday: Feeling cold with sunny spells and wintry showers. Showers will become more scattered through the day with longer sunny spells developing. Strong northwesterly winds easing leading to widespread frost overnight. Maximum Temperature 6 °C.
