Pray for calm and poise when storms assail

“Love they neighbour as thy self.” Mark 12-31

It’s not what you get, it’s what you give

Blesses you more than words can say,

A well timed act of friendliness

Brings joy when skies are grey.

Just to share a cheery word or two

Helps to make the dull days sunny

A listening ear, a cup of tea
Satisfies much more than money.

To give hope where disappointments dampen

Taking what comes from good or ill

And when help is needed, do not delay

All this stems from your Father’s will.

Pray for calm and poise when storms assail

Words of thanks to the Shepherd bring
Wear a smile and keep on sowing

New life will stir again in spring.
