City Grand Master delighted with Flagship event

The Grand Master of the City of Londonderry Grand Orange Lodge, Wor Bro James Hetherington, said he is delighted to see so many visitors turning out to watch the Twelfth in Londonderry.

Not only is it the UK City of Culture year, for which the City Grand Lodge has made special effort to welcome people from all walks of life to watch the parades and visit Londonderry, but it is the 400th anniversary year of the links being forged between London and Londonderry, making the parade even more significant.

In this interview with Sentinel reporter Olga Bradshaw, Bro Hetherington said he was particularly pleased to see so many visitors to the parade, which featured Kind William and his wife Mary in an open carriage, as well as KIng James and Lambeg drummers in costume.
