Politicians pay tribute to Albert

POLITICIANS have paid tribute to tragic blaze victim Albert Kane.

Ballymoney councillor Bill Kennedy knew him and said: “You would have seen him riding a scooter into Dervock to get his groceries and other bits and pieces. He was a real character and a real fun character.”

Ballymoney-based North Antrim MLA Mervyn Storey, also knew Albert.

“This is a very tragic event that will send shockwaves throughout the community,” he added.

Ballymoney Mayor, Cllr Ian Stevenson, said it was a tragedy for the area and he said the thoughts and prayers of the Council are with Mr Kane’s family circle.
