Plan to boost trade stalls at Larne market

Larne councillors were this week considering how best to promote the newly refurbished Larne Market Yard.

Alliance councillors Michael Lynch and Gerardine Mulvenna proposed and seconded a motion calling for a “low-cost” campaign to attract more traders , adding: “This can be done with the co-operation of some of our traders who have indicated that they could distribute flyers to their colleagues when they meet up at other venues such as Ballymena, Lisburn and Nutts Corner markets.”

The proposing councillors said that the improved Larne market yard is considered by existing market traders as “the best in the country.
