Thousands of visitors are expected in Portadown this weekend for the annual Country Comes to Town event.

This amazing showcase event had been postponed last month in respect of the death of Queen Elizabeth.

As usual at its heart is family fun and it promises to be a fun-filled day for everyone.

There’s fresh soda bread and pancakes. Buttermilk too! A bit of balloon twisting going. Knitted Knockers will be on hand and several hundred vintage vehicles will show up.

Johnny Fee will be threshing - the old way! Delicious street food of every description will also be in the town. Plus the Airsoft Military Team with their bikes and Niall Cowan’s Miniature Farm – fully mechanised. Also the TADA Farm Safety Team will be on hand for the youngsters.

One wonders who will be awarded the annual prize of Best Dressed Lady and Gent.

The headline act is Louisiana cowboy, Robert Mizzell, who will take to the main stage with supporting acts Olivia Douglas, Boxcar Brian and Bernie Harley.
