Elaine, who passed away following a short illness, was well known as a music teacher and was an accomplished musician and the conductor of Larne Choral Society.

Her promotion of accessibility to music for young people was a shared focus with the Music Yard in Larne and a Just Giving page was set up by her family to raise funds for the Music Yard, with an initial target of £200.

Donations have now however exceeded £4,250, underlining how highly Elaine was thought of in the local community and beyond.

The Music Yard, which provides music tuition, interactive music workshops and other artistically driven projects in the local community, promotes the benefits in sharing music with children from all backgrounds and abilities.

Now the funds raised in Elaine’s memory will be directed towards future projects at the Larne facility.
