Huge food support operation in Carrickfergus

Over four tonne of food will be distributed over the next few weeks in the lead up to Christmas to help many individuals and families who are struggling over this difficult time.
The charity welcomed the Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Councillor Peter Johnston, taking time to call in recently to see the many parcels prepared.

“We want to thank our amazing volunteers and all those who kindly donate both with food and financially, members of the public, churches, schools, local businesses, supermarkets and Mid and East Antrim Council for their support.”
Carrickfergus Foodbank, which opened in 2014, is part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
