Duck derby raises £445 for Larne lifeboats fund

LARNE Lifeboats fundraising branch would like to thank the many people who helped make this year’s duck derby a great success. Almost 400 ducks raced down the river (including Donna and her mum and dad Derek and Dawn) and all were safely brought ashore by lifeboat station crew.

Thanks also to Osborne King, Larne and District Game Angling Association and those who helped sell ducks in Murrayfield Arcade. We should also like to thank the public who gave such excellent support and raised £445.25 for this event.

Grateful thanks to the following who donated prizes: Allan Dorman and Son, the Book Nook, Comet Cleaners, A Craig, Crafty Copy, East Antrim Electrical, E Dorman, A Flowe rLady, TR Fulton, Inver Garden Centre, SD Kells, McFarlands Chemist, Thompsons Electrical and Woodland Woodies.

The prizewinners were M McCloskey, B Ferguson, Ian Blair, M Walker, G Campbell, L Budnarchuck, S Seymour, K Patterson, P Agnew, E Elleson, N Evans, A Surplus, K McCarlie, Rose Morrie, all except one with Larne addresses.
