Ms Markham said: “It will be a fantastic and amazing sight to see the torches being carried throughout the city and we are proud to have both staff and pupils involved in the ceremony. It is a great opportunity for both of them.”

The Olympic Torch Relay route has been planned so that the Flame will come within ten miles of 95 percent of people in the UK.

Representing peace, unity and friendship, as it makes its way across the UK on a 70-day journey, the flame will bring the excitement of the Games to everyone.

As a reward for our commitment to raising awareness of London 2012 Okagrove has received 6 tickets to a Women’s Olympic Football Match – USA Vs Korea at Old Trafford on the July 31.

Mr Donaghy and Mrs Fletcher will travel with four lucky pupils to the match (David Shortt, Beth Cregan, David McFaul and Chloe Boyle).
