New season for Floral Art Society

MEMBERS were welcomed to the first meeting of the season by outgoing Chairperson, Sharon Millen.

Following the AGM, the new Chairperson Mrs Cherie Nummy, welcomed the speaker Elizabeth Rea from Downpatrick

Using the title “Colour Matters” she gave a most entertaining talk on the colours of the rainbow and brought the stage to life with a wide variety of colourful accessories and flowers.

Afterwards supper was served and the arrangements were raffled.

The Society has an exciting programme planned for 2010/11 with excellent demonstrators and competitions to suit everyone.

The next meeting of the Club will be held on Wednesday, October 20, when the demonstrator will be Miss Anne Johnston from Fintona whose title is “Inspired by Autumn”.

New members will be most welcome or come along as a visitor and see what it’s all about.

Downpatrick AGM
