Dr Fell thanked the Clerk, Rev Stanley Stewart for all the hard work he put in and said: "I believe the Presbytery by ordaining Ministers
and Elders is doing something significant.
"It represents the Presbyterian Church in nearly the whole of the North West of Ireland and in this post-conflict, post-modernist age where there is a lot of disillusion, we have the task of bringing the good news of life eternal."
The Presbytery nominated Rev Norman Hamilton, Ballysillan, Belfast as Moderator of the General Assembly. He received nominations from ten other Presbyteries and is to take up the post in June.
