Mystery man picks up a million

A mystery National Lottery player from Co Antrim has banked £1 million without ever touching a ticket.

The lucky winner could be from anywhere in the Larne borough or further across the county, but a spokesperson for the National Lottery this week said his identity was being kept a secret.

He wants to be known only as Mr T from somewhere in the county and is one of the 18 guaranteed millionaires created by the EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle draw on November 25.

The draw marked the beginning of The National Lottery’s Millionaires Month as 50 millionaires are created in the run up to Christmas. Following the special Millionaire Raffle draw on 25 November, guaranteed millionaires will continue to be made each Tuesday and Friday until December 23, when an amazing 25 players will win a bumper Christmas present.

Mr T was playing through one of the handy interactive channels - or Play by Text.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “Well done to Mr T, he has banked this amazing prize with just a few simple clicks – he didn’t even have to pick up a ticket. If you play interactively we not only check your numbers but also let you know you have won – it couldn’t be easier.”
