McKillop slams theft of Union flag from War Memorial
Causeway Coast and Glens TUV councillor Sharon McKillop has hit out at the theft of a Union flag in Bushmills.
“I am outraged that the the Union Flag which flew beside Bushmills War Memorial was stolen on Monday evening or Tuesday morning,” she said.
“This is not only offensive to the Unionist people of the area but grossly insulting to the memory of those - both Unionist and Nationalist - who fought under the Union Flag during two World Wars.
“I am glad that the flag was quickly replaced and commend those who did so.
“Anyone with information about this theft should immediately contact the PSNI.”
