Loyal Orders urge members to vote Lutton

IN a joint statement, Cookstown Orange District Master Glen Espie and the Chairman of the South Derry and East Tyrone Amalgamated Committee of the Apprentice Boys Walter Millar have endorsed and pledged their support to the Agreed Unionist Candidate for the Mid Ulster By Election Nigel Lutton.

They said that Mr Nigel Lutton was an active member and supporter of the loyal orders and, like many members of the Loyal Orders, he was an innocent victim of IRA terrorism.

They said that all the members of the loyal orders and the Unionist Community despite the political differences which they may have had came out together in a massive display of strength and unity at the parade to Stormont on September 29 last year to commemorate the Signing of the Ulster Covenant in 1912 and they should use this by election to demonstrate that on this occasion they can unite and get behind the Agreed Unionist Candidate Nigel Lutton.

Mr Espie and Mr Millar added that it was of vital importance as they called on all the members of the loyal orders and Unionist community to come out and vote for Mr Nigel Lutton as he had the courage to let his name go forward and be the agreed Unionist standard bearer for the Unionist Electorate in Mid Ulster.
