Local school in model plane workshop
On Tuesday November 8 Primary 6/7 pupils from Glenann Primary School and Glengormley Integrated Primary School came together in Glengormley for a Dart model plane workshop.
This was organised by Mr Tony Monaghan, the education officer at Bombardier. Both schools have been working together with Bombardier for the last four years and this workshop has become an annual event.
The day began with a power point presentation on the history of flight followed by the workshop itself. Trainees from Bombardier were also on hand to offer help and advice. The workshop proved to be very popular and was enjoyed by all the children.
The two schools have been invited to a follow-up workshop at W5 on the 24th November which the children are already looking forward to.
