Legal experts to talk business

A free breakfast seminar organised by Larne Vital Business will take place at Centre Point, on Friday January 30, starting at 8.30 am.

Guest speakers will be Patricia Coulter, from the Labour Relations Agency, and Andrew Burke, of Murphy O’Rawe Solicitors who will address the subject of “The Importance of Recruitment and Employment Law for Businesses “.

Patricia has extensive experience in advising on employment law matters and delivers training on a wide variety of employment law topics. She is a chartered member of the Institute of Personnel and Development and is trained as a workplace mediator. The session on January 30 will inform participants of their legal responsibilities when recruiting and employing staff. It will provide a brief overview of good practice in recruitment followed by reference to individual and collective employment rights and the discrimination law.

At the seminar, Andrew. who specialises in employment law, will make reference to case studies which highlight the importance of legal compliance for employers.
