Two men and a woman have been arrested following the sudden death of a young woman at Coagh earlier today.

The trio - aged 26, 39 and 32 - were taken into custody in connection with drugs related enquiries.

The woman has been named locally as 21-year-old Amy Reid, from Coolnafranky, Cookstown.

Local sources say a party was taking place at a flat in the village and that a second person was taken to hospital for treatment.

Cookstown SDLP Councillor Tony Quinn extended his condolences to the family, describing it as a "terrible tragedy."

He said it was very sad that a young life has been lost.
