Police in Larne served a warning notice to a driver whose vehicle was causing alarm, distress or annoyance in the early hours of this morning (Monday August 8).
Posting details of the incident on the PSNI Larne Facebook page, Sergeant Lowry commented: “At 2 am this morning while I was out on patrol my attention was drawn to a car driving like he owns the road through Larne.
“I didn’t need to tell the driver what I thought of his driving as he told me that he’d been driving like an idiot.
“For his troubles he has been served with a Warning Notice as his vehicle was being used to cause alarm distress or annoyance.
“If caught again we’ll be seizing his car.”
The officer added that local police have been “doing a lot of work around antisocial behavior concerning vehicles lately and the message seems to be getting through”.
“For those who haven’t got the message yet, don’t worry we’ll be pulling you over soon!” he concluded.
