Kirsty was named Top Student in media across all of the schools involved in the Occupational Studies courses by SRC and went on to claim the prestigious CEA Learner of the Year award where achievements of some of the most outstanding learners in Northern Ireland are celebrated.

The celebration is public acknowledgement of the achievements of those individual who have become accomplished, motivated and skilled in their chosen subject area. It also recognises the part played by teachers, lecturers, tutors and family members in helping to bring about this success.

Mr Jones, Principal, Mrs Hasson, Area Learning Co-ordinator and Mrs Morton, Classroom Assistant attended the award ceremony to share in Kirsty’s success.

Kirsty said she was delighted to receive the award.

“If it had not been for my Occupational Studies course I never would have believed I could pass exams, and I would not now be completing a Level 3 Extended Certificate at SRC,” she said.
